low Fuel volume

Some techs noticed that my car has low fuel volume. This explains the
stalling, but they don't seem to know what to do about it. They said it's about half of what it should be.

How did they come to that conclusion?

Did they measure volume or fuel pressure? Where was the low volume measured, at the filter, injectors, pump?

I don't know if they measured at the injectors or at the pump. I think they measured at the injectors. They only opened up the hood.

Sounds a little bogus to me but it wouldn't be a bad idea to change the filter. It's under the hood near the master cylinder.

Fuel filter has been changed. Fuel injection cleaning has been done.

I'd grab a pump from a salvage yard and see if it helps then. Look for a pinched line where somebody may have jacked the car up on the fuel line under the car also.

I just checked my '92 Paseo shop manual. It says nothing about a pump volume flow, but it does give a check for injector volume flow.

I would do a pressure check. That checks the pump and regulator.

It also seems that gas mileage has not been very good lately.

Actually gas mileage is about right. Some people on Cartalk think it could be the torque converter clutch.

The car stalls in situations coming off freeways, going from 60 to about 20 or so. In city driving, it seems to do okay.
