Question Weber 32/36 conversion on 3E... possible?

okay, so i am on the verge of replicating the copier beatdown scene from the movie office space with my feedback carb.

my car: 1988 toyota tercel (automatic) w/ 3E engine.

my question: has anybody ever heard of/performed a weber conversion on this particular year/model?

all of the literature I can find about the weber 32/36 does not list the 3E as a motor that can take the conversion, however the 3AC is listed, which I believe has the same intake manifold... right?

any and all info. about this potential conversion will be paid back 100x karmically.

thanks!

casey

Thats a terrific scene, loving the office space refference.

Webber makes and sells it as a bolt on kit, I seem to remember it being like $400

Yes Astro is correct pricing seems to range from $319.99 to 399.00. Thinking of the same thing myself.

So i looked up some info. and found the following part numbers from www.redlineweber.com for anybody looking for the kit # in the future:

Weber 32/36 DGEV (For the full kit, order Kit # K751)
Linkage only (99007-116)
Manifold adapter only (99004-751)

I suppose it would be a good idea to mention at this point that i live in oregon, and i need to pass emissions every 2-3 years... does "performance replacement" mean that it will not pass DEQ?

Does anybody have any experience trying to pass DEQ with a non-stock carb on one of these cars?

thanks!

Casey
