Hi, I am in need of new tires..I would like to know what brand you guys recommend...I have a 96 tercel right now I am running 175/70r13 and on the tire sticker is says 155S13. anyone know what the S stands for??Also I want to go back to stock so any help is appreciated. thanx Ernie

finding a 155R13 is going to be a pain in the ass. Its an old size from when they assumed that all aspect ratios were "82". The size you are going to want is a P155/80R13, the "S" is the speed rating, so any "S" tire will be fine, although I doubt you would find any other rating in that size.

I would upgrade to a 175-70-13 size, or 185-60-14 and some 14" wheels.

In the 175-70-13 size, maybe check out the Kumho Touring A/S 795. Cheap, and not bad ratings on Tirerack. For a bit more, look at the Yokohama Aegis LS4 on Tirerack.

Firestone Firehawk INDY 500 - summer
Yokohama Guardex 600 - winter front
Kumho ECSTA HP4 716 - winter back

those 155r13's are no longer made but you may get lucky and find them at pepboys but i highly doubt it i would get some 205/50/13' there sweet looking i found some at pepboys when i worked there. little fat tires probably a good ride.
