Shake/Stuble/Jerk While In Last Gear...

So yeah when ever i am in last gear aka overdrive in automatics, and i try to acellerate in overdrive i get this what you can call jerk and loss of power for about second. When this happens my CEL starts to flash, then go solid. If i keep getting these "jerks" the CEL would turn itself off which is absolutly weird. I have no idea what the problem could be im thinking its the igntion coil but not too sure. Before i check the CEL what do you guys think this might be cause I dont know how soon i can get a hold of a CEL tester thingy.

Thanks,
TTercel
