1995 Tercel Clutch question (5efe)

i have a 1995 tercel that my clutch grabs on late... like past half way of letting off the clutch the clutch finally grabs and starts going.... is this normal or is there something wrong with my clutch or clutch master cylinder?

Start by adjusting the clutch pedal. Stick your head in the driver's footwell, and look up (a pain in the neck, isn't it?) and you will see that the clutch pedal presses a metal rod, which goes into the firewall. Make sure that when the clutch pedal is fully up, that the metal rod is at least just a little bit loose. To lower the clutch engagement point (a good idea, to reduce the risk of a slipping clutch), loosen the locknut on that metal rod, then twist the rod until there is more play between it and the clutch pedal. Then tighten locknut again.

I also have a 95 Tercel. At about 280 000km my master cylinder was causing that very same problem. (only needed to get the master cylinder replaced at the time)
