diesel engines

anyone ever drop a diesel engine into a tercel/paseo? Is it possible?

corse it's possible, expect if your looking for power thats not engine for you, but the gas milege would be the only thing. i believe 1n-t went into the earlier tercels, so it should fit it doesnt have that much HP its like 70ish and then it has about 100 ft lbs of torque

75HP is pretty low, but my 82hp 3ee seems to do alright for itself. I am guessing like Single cam, 8valve.

I'd think with only a few less HP but so much more TQ a 1N-T would probably feel quite a bit quicker than a 3EE. Hey, you could add one of those propane injection kits for pretty cheap for more power and better mileage both. I've heard good things about them, though I'm no diesel expert.
