ok here is the cost for those who want to know what the cost is for the FE 1.5 rebuild. Parts 700.00$ (including water pump, oil pump, timming belt kit, complete gasket set, all bearings, head bolts) the Machine shop labor is 591. 00$ Of course I am taking the engine apart and reinstalling the engine so there is another 1000. 00$ (estimated) for labore that is free to me.

One question why did you rebuild the motor when you could have got a 4EFTE in your car? Im sure you got asked this already...

no did not even know about it, what would the cost be and is it a better engine? is it the si9ngle cam engine that goes into the Tercel?

^ Its a 1.3L inline 4 turbo'd. Makes 135hp stock has been taken too 300hp with any internal modifcations, in a way it is a better motor. It drops right in the Tercels the only thing you really have to do is a wiring harness which every 4EFTE swaped Tercel owners complain about. Check the stickeys there are lots of info about it.

ok thanks for the info. The car is for my sone and the 5e is fast enough. so I will stick with the 5e 3especiallys ince I have already paid for the rebuild.
