3rd gen Tercel weak headlights

Someone had comented on their 3rd gen Tercel having weak headlights but couldn't find the thread, anyway I have been having the same problem with my '89 coupe.
I tried using Sylvania Bright Star (I think that is what they are called). Those helped a bit but only on high beam.
I tried using extra relays to get power directly from the battery. That helped a bit but not much.

I found a set of recessed rectangular headlights on a 90 hatch back in the junk yard and put those on. I was amased at the difference. Now I can see my low beams on the road. They have Sylvania Halogen sealed beam units.

I reccomend these if your 3rd gen tercel headlights are like candles, like mine
were.

See photo in my album. Link below.
