Hey everyone, here the problem. Im getting really bad ticking sound right by the rear of the engine. Right by the fuel rails. Its hybrid noise of tick and wooshing noise of air, if you could understand what im trying to get accross. I have no clue what it could be. Im thinking valve tick or maybe mildly clogged injector? Need suggestions its pissing me off...
It sounds like your valve's
my tercel 95 with 330,000km has a loud ticking noise
and my 99 paseo does the same thing
I would say just get your valve ajusted
did you upgrade injectors?? is this a new noise or has it always been there??
Because injectors got a pulse and the ticking is normal but not super loud check that if not check you valves for adjustments.
Its a new noise started ever since it got cold...Cant say its super loud but its loud. I will make a video and show you guys...Its too hard to explain...
My 4e does that as well. I found the source to be a part on the intake, by unplugging one part the noise stops completely. I thought mine was from an injector as well. Feel around, you might find it that way.
If it's a light ticking noise on the fuelrail and or around the fuelrail it's your injectors witch is normal but its possibley your vavles toyota will adjust them for 160 its well worth having them do it and have it done right. You should adjust your valves every 30,000 miles anyway.
Just double checked, the light gray plug at the far left of the intake on the 4e. It plugs to a solenoid looking device right on the end of the manifold and points straight forward.
Hey bro, I get a continuous ticking noise aswell on my 98 Paseo'. And yes, it does tend to happen more in colder weather, a long with some other wacky things. I've used fuel injector cleaners, but they do nothing. So maybe it does gear more to valves? I gotta find this out to...
