Driver Side Door Handle

Winter is here, and it broke my outside driver side door handle. We had some freezing rain, and when I went to open the door, the handle broke in half. Half of it is still available, and I can open the door with it, but I would like to replace it.

Anyone with DIY instructions that I can follow? Also, any good resources of where I can find the actual handle. Thanks.

It's a pretty easy job just go to a salvage ard or dealer and pick one up. Your going to take the door panel off but you will need a phillips screw driver because, there is a clip you'll need to take off the bottom part of the window arm.then remove the door panel you will see 2 screws or bolts I can't remember exactly pop out broken peice take your lock out incert lock in new peice and finally put it all back together its sound like a lot of work but it takes me about 20 min or so.I done 3 of them on different cars.

I will take a look at a local junk yard. Are there any other car handles that are compatible with the 96 Paseo, ie. tercel, 1st gen Paseo? Thanks.

Other than Toyota I'm not sure I wouldn't chance it.
