Performance Head

Okay, so I looked through a bunch of threads and could not find an answer to this. Where can I actually get a performance head for my 96 Paseo. I don't know anyone with a 5efhe lying around so I figure that is out of the question. Is there a head from an engine I can actually find at a junkyard or one I can order?

FHE is a head with a dizzy, And you engine is DIS. so to use fhe head youl need intake manifold, wiring harness, and all the stuff to make it work. 5eFHE head is the EXACTLY the same as 1st gen 5efe, 4efte, 4efe, So they're is no diffrence. If you don't want a swap you can take your head to a machine/bike shop and get it Ported and polish with some valve job and some other good stuff.

How much shoud I be looking at paying for that? And also I'm looking at doing a P&P to my intake manifold, and I heard that the throttle body from a 93-97 Corolla will fit with a 5mm larger port. I was planning on doing a P&P to that too. Does this sound smart? And can anyone give me an idea of how much more hp and trque that will give me. The only other performance upgrade I have done is making my own cold air intake out of some flex tubing. It has really helped-I can notice more throttle responce as well as a deeper sound.

I was quoted about $300 for a port match job at the local performance shop.

A Corolla throttle body will work, but it takes some finessing. You can check my site for a tutorial on how to do it. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea I do have a 96 throttle body bored out to 52mm (stock is 45mm, Corolla is 50mm) sitting around that I can't use anymore.

Good luck porting your intake manifold. Getting a tool in there to remove material uniformly is going to be a nice trick. Extrude honing is the only way I know of doing this properly and it costs a pretty penny (cheapest I've seen is $300ish).

you can expect up to 10 hp from that, Depending on what other mods you have is gonna free them up a bit. But what are your goals with the car?? what power do you want to make and what do you use it for. Because IMO is better to get a Dizzy turbo swap like 4efte or 5efhe with a turbo kit. In the long run is gonna be alot easier for the Swap to make more power. Is all in what you wanna do to your car??? http://board.tercelonline.com has all kinds of info on what you wnat to do and what other peoples results are. also check Daox website http://www.tercelreference.com/ for alot of good info and tutorials

Honestly, I cannot say I have a definitive goal in terms of e.t. or hp. But I love putting new stuff on my car and seeing the difference they make. The Corolla T.B. how much, and are you looking to loose it soon or can you give me, say a month? I am very interested. There is a guy up in Canada who has a stock intake manifold he is selling for $50, he said he would P&P it for an extra $25. Should I be wary for such a good deal?

I guess beating my dad's Mustang Saleen with the stage 4 supercharger, 4.10 gears, a meth kit, and k&n intake would be outta the question eh?

It doesn't say, I think so. Everything else is 91-94 so I guess. Oh well, too good to be true.

Oh I didn't mean it that way. It would have been a product of my own ignorance (lack of education, not intelligence)

The bored out throttle body I have is from a Tercel, not Corolla. So, no modifications are needed at all to install it. No hurry on it either. I haven't been advertising it as for sale.

Is not your TB he's talking about, it was an Intake manifold from a 1st gen 5efe off terseoman on TPC.com i believe.
