DIS ignition sys problem

MY car has a DIS ignition system. There are two coil pack and a signal wire going to each one. The problem i am having is that one of the signal wire is not working. Does it sound like a bad connection, bad ECU or what IT confusing me. Thank for the help

You mean one wire from your coil pack is not working?

If there are three wires going to the DIS setup, you've got one wire for the 1/4 fire and another wire for the 2/3 fire. The third wire is used for the return of the 1/4 and 2/3 trigger.
These trigger wires are coming from the ICM or ignition control module.
Depending on which wire is out, I'd change the ICM with a new unit and that should solve your problem.
If the return (12 volt) wire is out, the PCM could be giving you issues but should be giving you a check engine light if that's the case.

Hope this helps and not too late.
