What about just buying Forged Pistions, a 4E Head, Custom/tubular Manifold, etc. Everything kinda custom??

Thanks

(Sorry to post on such an old thread, but I was doing a search, and this is the info I'm looking for, but I still have some Qs.)
That's basically it. I mean it'd be better to go with the forged pistons, but it's not NEEDED. I tell ya what I did. Since I needed reliability and I still wanted some power, I didn't pull out a hybrid 4E/5E. I went to BYP and get my 4E-FTE not have to worry about anything (even bought the plug&play harness).

4E block = Factory ready for boost

5E block = Not factory ready for boost

4E = Factory turbo

5E = No factory turbo

The point is, if you want the most reliability for the money and don't want to worry about it, go 4E. Otherwise, have fun.
