Tercel 89 hatchback rear seatbelt?!

So, I've been wondering for quite a while about the rear seatbelts in my 89 tercel. There are 3 lap belts, but also another strap for the two outer seats that originates from back by the hatch. I can see how this might be some sort of over the shoulder harness, but what confuses me is that the end is "male" and I cannot find any female attachment. It looks similar to the regular seatbelt, except that where you imagine a hole, there's a round bump. Anyone with answers?

Shoulder-beltless in Hawaii

if you look on the 2 outside lap belts under the strap on the metal piece, there is a hole. you slide the knob on the top belt throught there so you get a belt like the front. like this

Pull your seat bottom out, the female ends probably slipped down behind it. Maybe you can stick your hand between the seat back and seat bottom and fish them out.

there is no extra female end to it, the female end is on the same piece as the clip itself, its just behind the strap
