Canada exhaust hookup 5efhe

My mechanic has replaced a 3e engine with a 5efhe in a 91 tercel. He can not figure out how to hook up the exhaust. He said something about a flange not fitting. Is there an easy way to hook up the exhaust? Will any exhaust shop be able to do it? Thanks

He'll need to make a custom flange so the stock exhaust can bolt up to the 5E-FHE's exhaust manifold.

He says the flange has ridges on it, and he can not make one that would fit. Has any one succesfully made one?

The flange off a Paseo should fit, I think.
If not get a complete stock Paseo exhaust manifold and down pipe, or an aftermarket Paseo headder, like an OBX.

In the above link the photos of 5E-FHE 4-2-1 exhaust manifold show a silver part that converts from 2 to 1. I am missing that part. Does any one know how I could order a new one. I do not know the part number. Thanks

The 5E-FHE 4-2-1 exhaust manifold isn't a real common item around these parts. You may have to just use the manifold off of a 5E-FE if you can't find the lower part.
