94 tercel interference?

is the 94 tercel engine (I think 3e-e) an interference engine? Gf's car might need a timing belt done and I was wondering how worried we should be if it was to snap :p

I didn't think it would be, I figured with it being a 94 it would be similar to the 4af in that sense.

Just needed the confirmation since the mechanic at the shop she got the clutch and such done at said it was and that the timing belt needs to be done asap because the sticker on the cover said 150 000 or something and she's at 280 000

He isn't over priced. Christ she had the clutch done, transmission replaced with a low km one because hers was cracked with a fluid change, cv boot replaced and the total was $1063! Around here a clutch job costs around 1200 - 1500 depending on how long it takes. On top of that if it had just been the clutch it would have been a little over $600
