'92 Tercel DX, looking to get radio, have deck installed already.

Hey, my girlfriend drives a 1992 Toyota Tercel DX, and she has a deck installed, as well and front and rear speakers, the only problem is that her car didn't have a radio as a factory option. The car came with 0 speakers.. and a big blank spot in the console.

To cheer her up a little bit, I'm looking to get her radio going. Now, I know that all I need to do is run an antenna wire from her deck out to an external antenna, but... there is no external antenna. Where do I go about ordering one, and how much work will it be to do the install? The antenna looks like it'll bolt right onto the car (already has the bracketry set up), but how much work will it be to wire the antenna up? I'm a bit of a radio newb, despite having a $2500 set up in my car.

Thanks for the advice/tips/info on where to order the factory (or better aftermarket) stuff that I need!!

If it has the bracket on the driver A pillar, than I would order one from ebay and install it. I got my replacement antenna from ebay and it works great. Have fun running wires for the speakers!

eBay, got it, I'll order that today.

I got lucky, when she got the car, it already had the deck and front speakers, it was only missing the rear speakers. Turned out though the previous owner had all the wiring already done for them though!

The only thing that I need to do is run the antenna wire through the firewall? to the deck. Not looking forward to that.

Nope, down the A pillar, behind the dash, to the radio. You don't need to go through the firewall at all unless you are adding an amp.

Well, then if I have to take the dash apart, that'll still be a horrible thing to try to pull off. I'm a big fan of not taking stuff apart...
