Heres a picture of my first car so far, I said I would post a picture a few weeks ago but took awhile to get around to it. Yes im the one who considered spinning caps, and no i don't want them anymore... any inexpensive ideas for the wheels though?
Nice, my first toyota was the 90 Tercel coupe. This car will last you forever. I had mine for 30k miles until it hit 225k before I upgraded to a 95.
Those Rims that you have on there are awesome for that car, those came on the MR2 of that year as well. I would suggest keeping them, maybe have them painted to match your car for cost cutting measures. Otherwise, check your local forums (Maybe craigslist for your area?) and get some sweet rims for it.
I gave my 90 Tercel to my mom, she put some sweet 195/50/15's on them. They look awesome. The car will easily take 16's, or even a set of 205/40/17's with a little modification.
thanks for the info kitten, I was thinking of getting 16's too. But won't I need sports tires or something? I don't wanna go there cause these tires were like 1,000 miles old when I bought the car.
Oh and I did the paintjob lol. It looks kinda bumpy on the surface up close because I didn't sand it after the primer... but give me a break it was my first paintjob. Incase you want to know, I used duplicolor sandable primer (hint: if you're painting the car black use black primer) and duplicolor enamel (you might want to try laquer, I just used enamel because my dad used some on a heater before and It looked great lol) You can buy the paint at napa or walmart
Run those tires until you have to change them. They will do you good, They are 14's right? Your car will handle perfect with those. My honest oppinion? This car would be perfect with 195/50/15's They are cheap, and widespread, adn you can get them used for a cheap price.
The paintjob looks good. I have to paint my tercel soon. Check out my pics on teh galery, its the nasty blue tercel =p
wow that's a nice ride man, also I love the trunk mod, did you do it yourself? Anyways, I think it would look really good in white to match your rims, or maybe you could go for two tone. Even in that blue color you have a sweeeet ride.
EDIT>> i just noticed your location! Im from northbend lol. maybe ill see you on the road =)
This engine has 180k miles on it, I am going to change it out with a 4E-FTE as soon as I find one for a decent price. Then I will feel more comfortable driving it longer distances.
The blue is nice with the white rims, I was thinking of taking it to be a little darker blue with them, not midnight blue, but darker than this robins egg blue. And I need to get a fin for it, since one used to be on this car and teh holes are there for it.
I didnt do the trunk, a friend did it for me, and I cannot figure out how he did it. But, its a bracket that attaches to the lid part, thats like a hinge, so it opens normally, but the lid part hangs. Its weird, and hard as crap to close. But, hey, I dont open it that much lolz.
My next project, custom gauge cluster for it. And of course, the roof of the car. I will take pictures of the interior soon, its pretty sweet =p
wow, that's kinda a lot of miles, but if you don't notice any problems in performance you could prolly wait like 50k more miles to upgrade the engine, but don't bet ur life on my advice remember I've only had a car for a few weeks . anyways i think darkish blue would look nice... I'll try to photoshop some colors into ur pic over the weekend, that way we can get a visual on it
okay I'll take some more pictures soon, thats kool that you wanna see more of it lol. I'm actually working on my cv boots so it might take me awhile to get some new pics. But hey I made some progress on your pics, lemme know if this helps you choose a color
