1993 tercel broken pistons

I recently was given a 1993 tercel by my cousin when he upgraded to an 04 rolla. Its got a really bad engine knock. He went to the mechanics and they told him 2 broken pistons. What im wondering is there a way to remove the broken piston and run on 2 cylinders?

I just want to be able to get it drivable enough to learn standard on. Any insight would be great.

I dont really wanna put anymoney into it because when my cousin got the new car he took a bat to the tercel and theres not a good panel left and its been spray painted.

Sorry, nope. Your either going to have to rebuild it, or get a new engine. Check the local scrap yards and see what they charge for one. It may not be too bad and replacing an engine isn't rocket science by far.

I think it was the top truck challenge i saw this in. A guy with a jeep with a v8 in it has a busted piston or something of the sort and ran it on only 7 cylinders the rest of the trip so thats why i figured id ask.

well i guess its off to the scrap yard with this piece then. at least i had fun spray painting it last night. Its got 666 on the hood. a pentagram on each side and SLUT masked off on the quarters. Oh ya and inverted crosses painted on the taillights so when the lights are on the outline shows through

Broken pistons? that will be a first on a tercel. it probably had a bad rod bearing or 2. Pull the pan and rod caps and inspect.
