paseo sounds like a v8 at a drag strip.

ok like 10 min ago i just got my car started. it sounds like it has a performance cam in it. which i like the sound, but it doesnt run smooth. so could this be a timeing problem. because its running rich and smokes and back fires. so any help would be appreciated. thanks
i also had the head shaved .007.

missing on a clylinder, check to see it your car has spark on all cylinders.

yeah i already did that. they have all got spark. its like im getting to much gas, cause today i finally got it started to run ok but the rpms go up and down between 2000 and 2700 after it starts. and it smoked all the way through first gear. but after the first time in first gear it quit but the rpms still go up and down rapidly. so i have got no clue. haha thanks

Make sure the timing belt or chain is installed correctly and the ign timing is OK.

i took it to my friends shop and i had a vacum leak and the timing was off 2 degrees. so thanks for the advice anyway.
