Question Seafoam??

My friend put Seafoam in his Nissan Skyline a couple days, and thought I should put it in my Tercel. Apparently 1/3 goes in the gas, 1/3 goes in the oil, and the remaining 1/3 goes in some kind of lines or something. He said it removes the carbon and other stuff buildup and then your car makes white smoke out the tailpipe for like 15 minutes.
I don't understand how the same thing can go in both my oil and my gas.
My friend said it almost doubled his gas mileage (he got about 9 before, his car is not running properly right now) so I figured maybe it would be nice to clean the inside of the Tercel out for the summer.

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

hmm...many many many threads on TN about seafoam, especially the gen3-5 camry people.

That "line or something" is the brake booster vacuum line.

One main con to doing this, in older engines you may be cleaning out your engine "too" well. Certain things that help hold up the engine will get loose. Then again, there are soo many more pros to using it.

Search and be informed.

Google "seafoam how to" and you'll also get many many vids.

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
--Can honestly go to a parts counter and ask for brake shoes for the front brakes.
