Wiring difference between 94 and 95 models?

First time poster here...

I know that 1995 was the start of the 5th generation of the Toyota Tercel, however, is there a major wiring difference between the 1994 model and 1995 model? The reason I ask is because I own a 1995 toyota tercel that has the following problem: When I turn the ignition, start the car and begin to drive, the airbag indicator light stays on. When I brake, my front side lights will come on. When I turn my headlights on, the rear brake lights stay on whether I am simply driving or braking. My turn signals work fine, my dome light works some of the time and my headlights seems to function just fine, although I seem to go through a lot of lamps for the license plate. It sounds to me like this is a bad connection and from what I've been told, the problem is probably somewhere behind the dash? I'm having difficulty finding a repair shop that knows how to solve this problem, and the shops that I have visited are either unable or unwilling to find a wiring diagram for a 95 tercel. Could I point the mechanics to a diagram for a 1994 model, they seem much more common than the 1995 diagram for some reason.

So, if you can excuse a long first post, I'd like to say I'm glad to join this group and appreciate any help I am given.

I'm sure if you went down to Toyota they could print you out a diagram for pretty cheap. As far as the differences go.. I'm sure there are quite a few. It may be possible to tackle it with a 4th gen (91-94) wiring guide buuuuut... no guarantees.

Sounds like you need some blank paper, a good multimeter, and time to tackle this problem. As far as the license plate lights go, are the bulbs looking fried? Like maybe they got wet from a cracked lens? Might be a short somewhere?

I ripped the interior out of my car and got to see the harness (which wasn't a lot lol). So it shouldn't be hard for you to track down the bug.

Good luck to you

Thanks for the reply. The license plate bulbs never look fried or anything, they just don't seem to last all that long, a few months at most it seems. This particular problem has been around a lot longer than my major issue with the brake light staying on. I'm thinking I'll probably have to pull the dashboard and try to trace the problem myself, the only Toyota dealership in town has a bad rep anyway, for example my wife owns a 98 corolla and used to take her car there to get an oil change done, well about 2 years ago I checked her oil for her and found that the filter had a date 3 years prior stamped on it.
