Question Autolite Plug Wires ???

Hey guys. I just picked up a '93 Paseo for a daily commuter, and am trying to get it all tuned up. The wires, cap and (presumably) rotor all appear to be original, meaning there's 145,000 miles on them!

Anyway, I picked up some Autolite plug wires on eBay. They're model # 86547, which I cross-referenced on other websites, and appear to be correctly spec'd for the 5EFE Paseo. But I got them, today, and they do not appear similar to the OEM wires.

Specifically, the plug ends of the wires do not have the square fitting for the head, and do not seem deep enough to get down to the plugs. Their round, rubber boot does have a round flat top, that I suppose could be pressed down inside the tube to reach the plug, but there would then be no way to pull them out without pulling directly on the wire.

Does anyone have experience with these wires, or other aftermarket wires which sound similar?

I really appreciate any advice, and look forward to participating in the forum.

Why FU*k around. Get OEM. They are far better. Obviously as they made it 145k.
