am not really going for the horsepower gain just dont feel like putting in another 1.5L when i have a FE 1.6L with everything to do the job right the first time around....
i might end up doing the same swap, but you said you have the whole car to swap it with already right, the engine, and tranny should all drop right in, if you have the car then you dont have to worry about getting the right axles and shit, it shouldnt be too hard,if you are swapping it for a manual, all you would have to do is cut a whole in the firewall for the clutch and change out all the shift linkage underneith which also shouldnt be very hard

Have you even read the stickies? The "A" series engines are not a drop in replacement for an "E" series engine. Read the link below. Seems a few people don't realize that the word "THIS" is a clicky link in the sticky.

You shouldnt give out wrong information man. If you dont know the correct answer and still want to post how bout a link to a sticky.
this is not your average backyard swap. If it was that easy everyone would do that instead of the 4e, 5e

Don't be so hard on yourself. It's cool that you came back to say something. We get so much wrong information that people get touchy about it. plus we don't want anybody coming back upset because something didn't work or wouldn't fit.
This swap requires some cutting and welding. Read the 4age swap thread as it has all the same work involved. Hooking up the auto transmission will require more wiring but not much. I'm not sure about the shifter though nor the flexplate.
