Just a little quicker

I dont need need to be ricky bobby fast. I would like to be a little bit quicker of the line. Im no racer nor do I plan to be. But the tercel seems to have no passing power or off the line power. Is there any mods I can do that don't involve turbo's or engine swaps. IF so where did you by the part and how much did it help.

Any other mods besides turbo will net you minimal if any gains in power. An intake makes for some nice sound but don't expect the world out of it. A muffler will help on top end but keep in mind this is very minimal as well. The 5E has very few bolt ons and none that are going to deliver what you're looking for. Boost will give you what you want.

Stick or auto? If stick there are other transmissions that will give mild improvement to your stock ratio. Any Pase transmission will be better but auto is controlled by ecu so stick only.
Honestly 96Paseo, the 4efte is harder to get off the line than a 3ee. Once off the line the story changes though.

K&N air filter is a cheap way to get a little bit more power. Change your plugs and wires too if you haven't already. You may also want to experiment with different brands and octane ratings of gasoline too - gas with ethanol in it reduces performance. The really cheap non-brand-name gas tends to be not so great...
