Well guys, a lot of you have been with me along the long road with my 92 Tercel...
As most of you know I have had some major problems, and some minor ones to...
As much as I love my Tercel, I have sunk more money into her, then any other project in my life... and she still doesn't run.
I have been debating what to do for some time now, to keep going and see how much money I will invest, or cut my loses before they become insanely deep... I am still wanting to get her running, but not knowing what's wrong, no check engine light, and no codes makes it that much worse...
I have been trying to do everything from the ground up with this car myself for pride more then anything, to say a thousand men have told me how to do it... but I did it. It really is a feeling like no other..
I have been working more then ever and the fact I have a company truck makes it easier to continue my project. Mostly I know my wife and my friends are getting fed up with me talking about my baby and not getting anywhere.
So today I have to make a decision, and I know I couldn't have a better group of guys behind me to help me out, so will she run... I hope
I may be bringing her somewhere soon for a group of people with better tools and more knowledge, although I wanted to get her running...
I am also having the hardest time with my ecu... it doesn't exist on the internet.. LOL, not for sale anyway... model number 89661-10110, I have looked none stop..
Gents, you have done more for me then anyone in my life... I need to take the next step
Yikes. Seems like this one really put you through the ringer. Where did you last leave off as far as testing goes? Give me a little food for thought and I'll throw as many ideas as I can conjure up. Is it a no fuel or no spark condition? Or both?

Well yeah Tweak did his part, he added the plug and returned the harness faster then I could blink, in all fairness, it stopped running before hand.
Well from what I can tell I have no spark, I seem to be getting fuel just fine, no spark, I did have a check engine light that is now gone, which makes me think the ecu, but I cannot find a exact replacement for it, I bought a ep91 3 plug Ecu, that didnt work.
I was told by my brother in law, who doesn't know imports as well as domestics that the sensor under the cap and rotor is what send the signal to the ignitor, then to the coil, then to the cap, honestly I don't know LOL...
Ok. Was reading through your previous thread. Looks like you put in a new ignition coil and ignitor. Did you test the pickup coil? How did your old ignition coil test out? Did it match the new coil or was it bad? I read the thread on TO. Did the light bulb trick work? Are the rotor button and distributor cap intact? No cracks? Just going over the simple stuff first.

Well I have really no experience with cars but I read something about thermal expansion in the aluminum head so when you take the spark plug out and the head was hot the head might not go back to it's original position. I read that you took the spark plug while the engine was running, I don't know if you just pull the cable out or the spark plug.
