Fuel regulator question

At the end of the fuel regulator is a small hose that goes down and plugs into the #1 (or so it appears to) cylinder in-take manifold. Where is that fuel going? I unpluged the hose and fuel was coming out of the end of the regulator. I guess that's normal. I hope the overflow of fuel isn't going into #1 cylinder. What's happening to it? Thanks,

Thats not good. Sounds like the diaphragm inside the regulator ruptured. Seems like the shop forgot to test it after changing your fuel pump. The regulator can be had on Ebay for relatively cheap. Make sure it comes with a new o-ring. Do not attempt to re-use the old o-ring. It will leak.

OK, thanks. I'll try to find an o-ring for the unit I just bought at the junk yard today (for $10). Thanks for your help!

Your local parts store should have a box of different sized o-rings. Just bring the unit with you and size it up. Make sure it fits snug. Be careful to properly seat the regulator when re-installing. Fully seat it with your hands, then put the bolts in. Don't use the bolts to draw it in.
