paseo seat swap?

search yielded this.

can anyone elaborate? first and second gen both work?
and what about tercel seats, only 5th gen to 5th gen?

i'm just looking for bolt-on, not interested if it involves alot of fab/modding. just a cheap factory look seat upgrade.

any advice is helpful!

I read some of that thread and i dont know either...

I removed my seats on Tercel to put in new carpet :P

Lets say drivers seat:

They have 4 mounts on the seat. Like the letter "H" sorta. U can simply measure the distance between the holes. Then measure whatever car ur gonna get seats from, if they match u can probably use it.

The first two are on the front, where that lever is to move the seat forward and back some. They mounts are bent downwards and bolted. So the bolts are facing the steering wheel.

The rear two are behind the seat. The one in the middle of the car next to the stickshift knob is facing toward that middle wall. and is bolted on, bolt head is facing the driver door. The rear other one is facing down and is behind the seat, next to the driver seat belt.

Modding this wouldnt be that hard, u would simply need to get a DRILL and drill a hole of whereever u can attach the mount to, u can bend mounts, they are quite flimsy on most cars. So bend them and then simply drill a hole and BOLT em with a large bolt or screw that makes its own thread in metal. Or a few small ones. if you can bolt only one side of the seat, u can take a peice of wood like a 2x4 or something and glue it or screw it onto wherever ur mount should be and simply mount to it. This will let u adjust ur seat to be higher wherever u want.

I dont think its that hard. If ur gonna go through the trouble of screwing stuff and unscrewing stuff.

If ur seat is still functional, it slides and reclines, u might want to simply replace or add a cussion or two and cover them with like a seat cover or soemthing. It should make ur seat feel great. U can even customize it however u like.

I use stock seats, they are ripped but still good, with seat covers. *LEATHER MAKES U SWEAT*

I hope that helps.
