Gen1 Shut off + hard to start

Today while driving my 1992 Paseo the car just shut off, it started up again quickly but kept shutting off. I parked the car for a few hours, then drove it it drove fine for a while and still hasnt shut off. Just now I went to start my car and it wont start unless i turn the key on and off a few times. I was thinking either plugs, distributor or fuel pump, but im not an expert so im not sure.

That's probably fuel delivery or ignition. I'd replace fuel filter first - it may be clogged and completely blocking the flow at times. Plugs, wires and distributor cap & rotor next if you haven't replaced them recently. Could also be a bad electrical connection to injectors or fuel pump or a sensor. Pulling engine codes may help narrow it down - many auto parts stores will do this for free.

Ive had simular experienced when i drained and replaced oil, it hesetates to run and start, maybe you never replaced oil? maybe you have too much or too little? that could cause this too. But its most likely the FUEL filter, ive head it goes just like that, fuel pump maybe too, but thats rarer.

its not an electrical problem it starts with ether no problem

im replacing the fuel filter today

it may be the pump overheating, because it shuts off and once it cools down will start back up

my oil level is perfect Ill change the filter today and get back to you guys.

Also any idea where the fuel pump fuse is?
