Oil pump question

I'm in the process of completing a swap from 4E-E to 5E-FE in my 94 Tercel with 65K miles.

I decided to use the oil pump from the Tercel because it has a lower mileage than the donor 92 Paseo with 120K miles.

After installing I noticed there is a slight free play when I pull on the oil pump pulley. I just wanted to ask if this is normal or is it defective(worn). Or are they not interchangable?

I re-checke that the bolts are tight and is fully flush with the block.

Here's what I found out for those interested...

This 5E-FE block has a recessed slot at the oil pump cog, whereas the 4E-E does not.
I had to put back the original 5E-FE oil pump and all is good to go.

Thanks
