88 tercel acts like it is running out of gas when warm

So the title says it. Runs good cold but when it warms up, it acts like it is running out of gas when I accelerate past about 2500 rpm, in the lower gears. If I don't warm it up and just drive it, some time down the highway it just loses all power, so I let it coast for a bit and I can get almost back up to speed and then it does it again. I was thinking that it was the fuel pump because that is what it seems like but it does'nt make any sense that it only happens when the engine is warm.
Does any one have any imput? Some body has to have run across this before.
Thank you.

Doubt its the fuel pump as well. Sounds like the carb may be having some issues. Have you tried adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw? Sometimes small bits of debris can get into the orifice and cause fuel metering issues. Its also possible that the needle valve is starting to stick, not allowing the bowl to fill properly. You should also take a look at your spark plugs. If they're black or wet, your running rich. Brownish white is normal.

Hey thanks. I did some searching around through the vac lines and found a few leaks, plugged them off and checked to see if the vac advance was working properly. Put some gum out in the tank. Then I drove it about 150 miles with no probem, so I was hoping it was good to go. but this morning I let it warm up and It just did it again. I guess I will have to read up on the carb and see if It helps to move some things around in there.
It is definately a mixture problem so I will start with the mix screw and float needle like you said. I will post updates a things progress. I don't see too much on here relating to this kind of issue so hopefully it will help somone else.
