Grinding Brake on 92 Paseo?

Rear brake drums seemed old, so me and my dad changed the drums and shoes to newer ones and put everything back, but feels and sounds like it's grinding...help?

Did you change the springs and retainers? Did you reinstall everything correctly? Did you check the adjuster and then check shoe to drum clearance afterwards? Drum brakes suck to change especially if you don't have a vehicle specific manual that gives you details. Check all that stuff. I bet you just forgot to adjust the brakes for the new shoes.

grinding is not good, what kind of brake shoes?? IF they are the newer type you will have some grinding because they have more or different types of material, and I have found that the less expensive the shoes the less quality you get.
