i have a question, im 17 and i dont have a car yet, but im saving up for a paseo, i just love the look of the car and all, im also a huge fan of rally racing and the size of the paseo is like just perfect for a rally, i wanted to know just how hard it would be to convert a paseo into 4WD, i plan on taking mechanics next year in school, then hopefully ill get into co-op with toyota, and i want this to be sort of like my main project for the next 5 years of my life or something, thz
cool, and thz for the welcome, i love rally racing, damn it, i want the paseo more then ever now, lol, oh and does anyone know where i can get blueprints of the paseo, i want to make a 3D model of the car so i can like add on body kits and spoilers so i can see how the outcome of the car would look like, thz in advanced
The easiest way to make a 4wd Paseo would be to ship in a 4wd ep85 Starlet. Once you do a bit of cutting, relocating and re-routeing then the drivetrain will bolt right up. I'd suggest that you cryo treat the transmission, axles, and all differentials since you will probably use a 4efte or 5efe. The 4wd Starlet comes with a N/A 4efe and the drivetrain won't hold up to too much power stock. I hope that helps some.
drkdragon, you should seriously come up to The Black Bear Rally (www.mlrc.ca/blackbear). You'll get to see a real Paseo Rally car running. And feel free to walk up our service area and introduce yourself. My name's Matt. Or if I'm not there, you'll still be able to meet my service guy Shawn, who is the administrator of: www.torontopaseoclub.com
