swappin 1.5 to 1.6

i have 82 tercel.3a.1500.does a 4ag carbeurated engine exist?if so what models did the engine come in?.i know there is a 4age motor .can anyone suggest any other engines that may swap easier(and maybe a lil cheaper)and what models those came in.i have a friend who owns a wrecker yard so he can find engines but i dont know what direction to send him in.

A 4age engine is the best option for you. It's a mechanical bolt in with the flywheel and clutch im selling elsewhere in this forum. a 4age out of a FWD or RWD will work if you use your 3A motor mounts and oil pan if needed. Fuel, exaust,cooling, is all you have to worry about after its in.
