Question Rod knocking? VVT swap?

Anyone know if a VVT engine swap is possible for my 92 paseo? I think i have a rod knocking, but a guy told me he thought the same about his 92, only to find out it was loose water pump. anyone else had this problem? found a VVT eng from sion XA.

no one has done that i know of but anything is possible with enough money you'll need the ecm, wiring harness, and tranny. not to mention whatever custom parts that may need to be fabricated.

hello new to the group, I have 93 Peaseo, I bought it with the front rod knocking as well, this was the second engine the PO put in it. Darn good cars. My solution was to buy one of the Japn used engines with less than 50,000 miles on it. there are several locations on the internet. I paid 500.00$ for a warrentied engin. 300.00 for shipping. put the engin in and I have been running it since Jan. I get 40 miles to the gallon and drive about 65 miles aday back and foruth to work.

I have nere heard of the swap before.

If interested I do have the old engin tore apart all it had was a bad rod bearing. and need of rings.

I've heard of Tercels with Blacktop 20V 4AGEs before, that's a VVTi motor.
