Thinking abotu getting a tercel

hey everyone, im thinking about getting a tercel and have some questions before hand. the tercel im looking at is a 1997 ce and has about 137000 miles on the body and about 30000 on a new engine. its got an auto transmission, no power steering, and no ac, one owner, has cosmetic damage but thats expected almost i guess. now for the questions i have. first as to an engine swap, i realllly wouldnt be able to deal with under 100 hp that would just be crazy, so i was looking through your forum and the 4efte sounded appealing but still not the hp im looking for, or atleast i dont think it is... i would like to have a tercel if i buy it running in the 13's-14's range, what kind of mods would i have to be looking to do...

engine swap...
bigger turbo...?
fmic...?
injectors...?
exhaust...?

and so on what would the price to get in this time range look like. thanks a bunch!!

a 4efte with a bigger turbo and some other mods can get you to 14's

if your really looking for more power you can a 5efhe (JDM version of the paseo's 5efe) and build and turbo that... its 1.5L compared to the 4e's 1.3, and has more 'potential' power

Is it Gonna Be ur Daily Driver? Cuz out in Cali that like wont even pass smoge if u swapped, unless in maryland they are less strict...

I think there's a few 4E's in cali that passed emissions?

Dunno Man, Its pretty strict out here. Plus they just put like 5 mil in the tuner crack down budget over here, so if u have to go to the ref and ur stuff does not pass smog,,,by by ride <_<
