Hey guys, new to the board. I just bought a 95' Tercel coupe DX 5SP. This little car runs like a top, but I had a question. Does the check engine light go on when you first start the car? Kind of like a system check. I never see it go on when I turn the car on. My other vehicle's check engine light goes on when I first start the truck and after it does the system check it turns off. Does the Tercel check engine light work differently or do I have a burned out bulb?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try resetting your ecu by pulling the negative battery cable and wait a little while 15 - 25 minutes then hook it back up. If the ecu is still throwing a code I would take it to Autozone or some place that can read engine codes to discover the cause. (Autozone reads em for free).
