Canada 86 tercel two seater?

I've been thinking about removing the rear seats in my 86 hatchback. I want more room, and no one ever sits back there anyways. Does anyone know how difficult that would be?

Does anyone know the redline of the 3a motor? I just got a digital tach so I finally know how hard I'm working the car. It easily goes to 5500 in first gear, and then 5000 in second. In fourth gear (I have a four speed) It goes to about 4500 RPM (135 km/h). Is that too fast to drive it? It has 160,000 km.

runs really well though

Red face seats out

Detatch unscrew the mat from the back of the seat, pull up on two pins at back sides of seat, unhinge the bottom of back seat and lift up and pull out. Bottom of bench seat pull up on two hinges just below front of bench pull out and up. unbolt 4 seat belts and roll basins. make sure to cover the exposed gas tank with somthing though. done in 15 min.
