1992 tercel DX, 5 spd manual, front disc, rear drum
there is a slight 'ticking' coming from one of my passenger side wheels. Can't tell really if its the front or back, although i suspect its the front.
The ticking follows with the wheels (i.e. slows down when the wheels slow down) ... it makes no difference wich gear im in, or if the brakes or gas is applied, if the wheel is turning, it's ticking.....
'm pretty sure its a rock. Do you drive over any gravel or rocks? It happens to me all the time. No biggie, just use a screwdriver(carefully so you dont blow out your tire) or a key to pry the rock out.

Possibly could be the clamps that you are using to hold the CV joint boots in place. I know some people use plastic ties to hold the boots and if the part of the tie that goes through to tighten the boot isn't cut properly, it will make contact with other parts and make that ticking sound.
Jack up the passenger front wheel and slowly rotate it. If you hear the click take that wheel off and see if the cotter pin in the cv axle is moving around. I had a very similar click and used electrical tape to stop the pin from moving. No more clicks.
After you check for rocks, the pin, the cv axles (never use zip ties people!), and all that; check the wheels bearings and the brakes. Bearings could be going bad if an older Terc or the brakes could have a missing or broken shim.
