I'm in SoCal and have noticed that the T100's prices have started to increase.
Anyone seeing the same thing in their part of the country?
Woudn't part with mine but always looking for another clean one!

I guess it all depends on the market and where you are looking. The T-100 has always been sought after. Prices seem to run higher in the NW or West coast markets. Not so high here in the Midwest markets. Not sure about the Northern or Southern markets. Ehat year group or mileage group are you making the comparisons from? What is yer reference? ;)

Just watching the T100 market in general. If anything bypassing the 4 cylinder and 3.0 V6. I'm guessing here on the west coast it may because of no rust issues and buyer's willing to come and visit and buy a truck if they find the right one on their way out of town. Mileage doesn't appear to be a deterrent on the asking prices, who knows what they finally go for but they do seem to sell fairly quickly especially if it's a private party transaction vs. a dealer.

CL has been picking up lately...

Here's a nice one, but with that price I get the feeling the guy doesn't really want to sell it. Also, he doesn't realize you can't just slap historic tags on a daily driver in MD.

2WD with much higher mileage, but decent shape nonetheless.

This one appears to be in good shape as well.

This one could be a scam...

This one looks promising. Love that bright blue!

First seller is dreaming fer $7600 with rust and a caved in rear bumper. ;)
Second seller doesn't know what they are talking about...since none of the T-100s ever had passenger side air bags...and the airbag light is on! :D
Some of the options include driver and passenger side airbags
Third seller had the rear bumper replaced...it's probably rusted pretty bad under there.
Fourth seller is a scam...seen that listing all over craigslist. None of the xtra cab T-100 trucks ever had an 8' bed. ;)
Fifth seller has potential... ;)
Sixth seller has potential...except fer the little bit of rust on the left rear wheel well. Inspect it very carefully. ;)
Seventh seller...oohhh, parts trucks! :D

Hmmm, same ballpark. Are you seeing all of them over priced or just the lower mileage ones? The others I posted are about the range that they usually run (around here), except for the super cheap one.

Well the 4X4's are always at a up there. In general an ext Cab V6 are all creeping up.
I'd guess my 95 with 182k on it would bring in $5,500 and sell in a resonable time an it's a 2WD. but I'm seeing trucks with 250k plus miles on them hitting that mark.
lowest milage I've seen lately was a 97 4x4 with 101k on it and the guys asking $7,800.

Glad i already have mine!

i live in n.c and bought a 95T DX 2 wheel drive auto, 167000 one owner last yr for 5000 with matching capper. I just bought another 95 dx in alabama with 56000 one owner truck and paid 7500.00, Truck listed for 6300 in kbb. This one though is as close to new as I have every seen. I don't think the book means much. You can't buy many vehicles for the book value in any make or model, and this is private and never from dealer.

I'm in n.c. right on the coast. I see a few T's here and there here, but almost never any for sale. I saw one at a used lot once with about 300,000 on it for 3,900 I have one for sale now. It is a 95 dx 2 wheel drive with 187000. It is really clean and is mechanically as good as they get. I'm asking 4500 for it. Have had 2 text messages and they say they want to see it, but then they don't. One wanted to know bottom dollar I would take so most likely a dealer. I am surprised. I thought it would go fast. I guess I thought they were more popular here. Or like me people are willing to go aways to get a good one. I drove 12 hrs to Alabama to get my other one. Find of a lifetime. One owner, garage kept. Older man didn't need it anymore. I paid 7,500 for it. It hurt, but how often do you find a truck like that. If I drive for 5 yrs. It only cost 1200 a yr or so for a truck I like, and love to drive. So to me the book doesn't mean anything, and I wonder wear they get their #'s from. I don't see any worth buying for less than 4 to 5,000.

There is a prety good deal (looks like), right now close to Richmond, VA:
(I was hoping to get doen there and take a look but its not in the cards for me right now -- i hate to pass this one up at this price.)

4x4 5-speed long bed, nice tires, white, 300k miles. $2750
http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/4947762630.html

I just texted him and he still has it. I may go look this week....
With the 3.0 engine and the bigger tires, I'm gonna say it's even slower than stock...even if he re-geared. :(

Get if you like it go for it :) I bought my t100 for 2500 single cab long bed with the 2.7 with a bad clutch and drive it home like that for 2.5 hours in the pouring rain and also it has 268k miles currently it's almost at 293k miles and I'm not afraid to take it out of town.

Someone mentioned the southeast, so I'll relate my purchase in the latter part of last year here near Huntsville, AL:

I decided to look for a T100 because I had never had one and I decided that something that was essentially a "super Tacoma" had to be good. I looked around on AT and CL and everything was $5K and up on this side of the country, except for base model trucks with no options.

The truck I ended up with I found sitting beside an independent garage. It sat there at least 2 months before I stopped to check it out. I drove it, approved and wound up buying it for for $3,000 after talking the guy down from $3,800. That happened because it had a valve cover leak and the oil gauge was no-op, AND the engine had been recently swapped.

The truck I bought was a 1997 Xtracab 2wd with the S.E.T. (Southeastern Toyota) sales package. That gives it cruise, PW, PDL, mudguards, alarm, Enkie wheels, floormats, etc and also that "TITAN" decal everyone wonders about. I've seen several trucks down here with the identical package. It's a V6 auto with 227K on it.

That said, I couldn't buy the same truck for the same price again here. That was sheer luck. The same truck on a lot would probably go for $4,000.
