Have a 95 t100 2.7 when i release the parking brake and take off you can feel the back brakes release. Also when i let it roll in neutral you can feel it stop from the back brakes with out applying brakes. 50k miles ago i had the rear brakes done and had a problem not releasing all the way turns out it was rhe adjuster. You think it just needs to be cleaned with brake cleaner. Also i noticed my brake light on the dash goes on and off. Fluid full. Thanks
Sounds like the parking brake cable is faulty, mines that way i just disconnected my parking brake cable, manually adjusted the star wheek and now no more brakes catching and no more light issues!
While that might seem like a good isea, yer best bet is to inspect it to see if that's the issue. If it is, you could give it a try but I think yer gonna have to take it apart to git the best of it.
When i took my truck in they said the adjuster froze and made my brakes over adjusted. I replaced that part 60k what made it fail? Should i replaced the parking brake bell crank? Is that whats causing this?
