Bought a T100 on Thursday

My coworker bought a truck so he sold me his old T100. It's a 1995 with a 4 cylinder/auto.

It's a real beauty!

You'll like this truck, especially the cup holder that "heats" and "cools" your drinks.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

I hadn't noticed that the cupholder is right in front of the vents! Oops, that's not very good! Oh well.

It's got 110k miles and I paid $1000. Pretty dirty but it is cleaning up pretty well. There's absolutely no rust because I'm in El Paso. Previous owner tuned the truck up in December. But the driver door handle is broken. I have a new one on the way but it stinks having to open the truck from the passenger side right now. Cruise control doesn't work. AC works good but I did the insulation mod to it yesterday. Thanks for that!

I'm going to remove the cab lights and big mirrors. That's what I need right now - black, non-power mirrors. Oh, and a passenger side AC vent.

Oh wow! That's awesome! I'll see if I can go over there tomorrow or the next day.

I just thought of a question. When I bought the truck it had a crazy whistling wind noise when I got up to about 30mph or more. I looked at the engine compartment and found a place where it looks like there should be a hose. The hole is a little below where the AC lines enter the firewall. Anyway, I just assumed this is a drain for the evaporator. I stuck a length of hose on it and the noise has gone away. Is it really an evap drain and what is supposed to be there?

You can also check ebay and rockauto.com for some of this stuff.

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, that's the drain fer the AC evap. The parts truck has the grommet and drain available as well as both chrome door handles.

Didn't make it to look at the parts truck today. The guy in my office that speaks Spanish wasn't in today. Maybe tomorrow.

I did replace the broken driver's side door handle today. When it broke the previous owner just started leaving the window down so he could reach inside to open the door. That's why it's so dirty inside - the window has been down for years and it is crazy dusty in El Paso.
