How hard/how much would it be to fix a blown head gasket?

Not isolated by any means. Ive done quite a few headgaskets on the older v-6 and straight 6.

Well im looking to buy a T100 and i found a good one cheap but it has a blown head gasket. I know that on my altima this cost $16 to repair, so i am tryin to decide if it was worth it.

Toyota TSB Information TC99002

Toyota issued a Technical Service Bulletin on this problem in 1998 for the 1997 T100 with the 3.4 V6. It's number is TC99002. I'm not sure if anyone's gone through this with their local dealer, mine said they probably won't honor that anymore because of it's age and if you've made it to 150k miles (in my case) head gasket failure is likely to be a normal failure due to age and mileage. If anyone's contacted someone at the Toyota HQ or their local district let me know - I'd like to see if they'll do this for mine.

AFAIK, this was called a LSC (limited service campaign) that ended in November '04. If you're curious, call Toy corporate and give them your VIN. See if your truck was within the group.

Called yesterday - my VIN doesn't qualify. Guy was real nice about it and gave me the whole history of the truck from a few different dealers that it had been serviced at.
