Lightbulb Turbo T-100

So I've been poking around the internet and I've found a site that sells remote mounted turbocharger kits, STS. They've got a kit for the 3.4L Tacoma and that supposedly makes 340 RWHP and 390 RWHP. Just wondering if anyone knows/cares/or has even tried out such a thing. I found some videos on the website and Google Videos and Youtube, if anyone is interested.

Sounds very intriguing...you gonna pony up the money and give it a spin?

Since this turbo replaces the muffler...I wonder how loud this is gonna be? I see that the system costs about $3600... Not too bad...not sure those pipes would last in a rock climb though.

Well the thought has crossed my mind, I'd like to. I don't know anything technical about turbochargers, but I'd like to get the 'turbo parts' from STS for the 3.4L Taco kit, and fabricate my own intake and exhaust tubing since I have a T100. Perhaps mount the unit itself up behind the transfer case off the OEM exhaust. As for rock climbing concers, it's not much of a concern for me, more of a mud/snow/street person myself, limited by my surroundings, but my exhaust is tucked already, and there's room, and skid plates are also an option. Before the cheapo cherry bomb exhaust I ran straight pipes and went to work at 4AM half the time so the neighbors already have no love for my truck, so noise isn't much of a factor for me.
