Remember the LEMON!

Just wondering if anyone has problems with the lights behind the temperature gauges.
Don't know if its the fuse or if there is a bulb that needs to be replaced.
Can this be done without much knowledge or should i go pro.

Also installing a new rear bumber that was damaged should i get a junk one or does anyone know where to get a new one?

New England
SR5 1997 Toyota T100

Can anyone tell me what the towing capacity is on this truck?

Is this an auto or manual transmission? 2WD or 4WD? I know you have the extended cab because the SR5 trim only came on the extended cab.

Extended SR5 specs:

curb weight: 3600/3620 (2WD manual/auto); 4040/4110 (4WD manual/auto)
payload: 2100/2070 (2WD manual/auto); 1960/1890 (4WD manual/auto)
gross vehicle weight rating: 5700 (2WD); 6000 (4WD)

There's a few screws you need to take out to git to the cluster but still rather easy if you take yer time.

Fer the rear bumper, you could try craigslist.org or even www.car-part.com and see which yards near you would have the rear bumper. Hopefully it's not too far and you can inspect it before paying fer it. I haven't been a fan fer parts that I can't look at or git piccies of before paying...unless they have a guarantee or warranty on them.

On some other stuff:
rear bumper: check ebay. Only Toyota makes one, but sometimes they're on there cheap. The rear bumper is braced pretty well for light towing.

For towing, the T100 is OK. it's sufficiently wide and long, but a little light and under powered. I tow betwen 3500 and 4700 lbs regularly with no problems, though I'm thinking about stiffening the rear suspension.

I have a tekonsha prodigy P3 brake controller (a good brake controller is a must for any reasonable amount of towing) and recently added a transmission cooler.

I've never had any problems towing or been at all concerned with how it handled. I've towed a lot and with a lot of vehicles, and just to say it again, a very good (not just a run of the mill auto zone) brake controller is the most critical.
