T100 1996 radio wiring

I am wondering if someone can help me. I am trying to install an after market cd player into the t100. I had a model 86120-33030 radio with anti theft. I am trying to match up the color codes that are given on this site, but it does not seem to be right. I can get power to the radio but, no sound. I do not think the wiring harness color codes match. It seems like the toyota truck harness goes into a break out box that I cannot get to. Took off the left from and right front speaker ocvers and found that the colors are Pink + / Purple - for the left and light green + / blue - for the right, but the colors that are in the harness do not match the pairs.

Can anyone give let me know what the accurate color could is?

Thanks

It's beyond me - but if nobody here knows, I'd ask Crutchfield. They may sell you a wiring adapter/instructions fairly cheap - the instructions are free if you bought the stereo from them, and they're fond of goodwill advertising.

Danno, thinkin' about a CD/MP3 player himself.

Sounds like yer using the input cable to the power amp. You should have 2 bundles of cables from the power amp and not just a single bundle. The 2 bundles are standard on most of the older Toyota and Scion vehicles...

Was this the stock radio with the cassette tape that you pulled out? If so, you should be able to trace the cable to the power amp and disconnect the 2 cable bundles from that power amp and use those.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have attached a picture of the radio cavaty. Regarding your reply you indicated that there is a power amp and harness that comes from it. Is the silver unit that the harness shown in the picture the power amp? If so, do I remove the power amp and use the cable harness that feeds it.

Thanks again
