I am wondering where the reverse switch is located on my 1996 T100 5 speed......as i am wanting to wire a set of foglights up to the reverse switch so i can actually see something when i go to back up
use the reverse wire in the harness going to the tail lights. If you're going to use really big lights, run a dedicated wire and use said tail light wire to control a relay.

that works as well and the reverse sensor is on the trans itself and yes use a relay and fuses.

i have decided not to go into the reverse switch but just into a switch inside the cab, i have used a fuse also, as i used what came with the lights, i got all the crap wired, and the lights dont work, so now i haveta go buy another set and just get the lights, and put the ones i got now in the new box and take em back, cause i aint re-doin all that wiring when i am gonna just haveta do it again, that would be pointless, i dont wanna do that again, cause i ran the wires right, where they cant be seen, and wnt get stepped on, etc, once i get it all goin good, i will get some pics
the lights came with inline fuse, i used the kit it came with, so all went well, got all the flaws figured out finally, pics to come as soon as i can get some!
i can now see a heck of alot better to back up at night!!
as of right now, i have them mounted on the trailer hitch, but when i put my bumper back on one day, i will mount them to it, but they look good where they are, and are bright!!
Aren't you glad Toyota thought to put a license plate bracket on the bed, for when the bumper rusts out?
Shocks look good... Wires should be run along the top of the frame and nicely bundled
yes robie, i sure am!! lol, my bumper isnt rusted out, but the previous owner seemed to have thing the way you back up to a trailer is just back up till ya here a BAM.....lol, and also seemed to have jack-knifed a trailer a time or two, so i took the bumper off to beat out dents, =]
thanks, shocks are rancho rs5000's, and i like them, i will run the wires on top of the frame, once i get the bumper on permantly and mount the lights to the bumper!!
