Is this for real?

Locally, a guy is selling a 1998 "special edition" T100.

Here's what's advertized:

1998 Toyota T-100 Speical Edition
Leather Interior, Front bucket seats
4 x 4, V-6 3400 motor
Power moonroof
Ext Cab
Matching canopy
Graphite dash
Tow package
Bedliner
Running Boards
AT. P.S. P.W., P.L., P.B., C.C., AC,
AM/FM-CD-CASS stero
Flow Master exhaust
remote power mirrors
Security system

I can't find any info on any Special Edition T100 on any toyota site.
Did Toyota really make such a thing?

That sounds more like the "Limited Edition"...

I know that the FlowMaster exhaust was not factory offered as stock. Not sure about the graphite dash either...

Everything else is right on...got any piccies of it?

Here's a few pics the guy sent
The last two are kinda fuzzy, but you can still make out some details about the interior

The "Special Edition" doesn't seem like it would be a factory thing. The graphite covers on the dash are aftermarket. Leather was an option...my T100 has leather and it also has T100 stitched into the door panels. At least you have the T100 floor mats...

How much are they selling it fer? Mileage? Got piccies of the sunroof (open/closed)?

No pics of the sunroof.
Mileage is 200,000 and the asking price is $9,000.
Haven't touched it yet: It's an hour and a half plus a hefty bridge toll away.

Seems kinda pricey to me fer 200k miles...but then again...not very many of the factory sunroofs out there either...

I like the red color...just need more detailed piccies of the exterior, interior, bed, engine bay, and underneath. Shots of the tread would be nice, too.

Yeah that is priced way too high. You can get a 01-02 4x4 Tundra or Taco with about 90-110K miles for $9k. The T100 is an epic truck but at 200k it will show its age somewhere.

$9k for a truck with 200,000 miles is not even close to worth it just because of some leather and a power sunroof. Although I will say my pops has one with the moonroof and i like it, wish it was power opening.

T100's have some ridiculous resale value. Intrinsic value is very different from what people on craigslist say the truck is worth though...

Not really many T100's for sale, and hardly any lower mileage T100's out there from what I've seen, everyone who has one with less miles still wants it

Kelley Blue Book

Run a price check with Kelley Blue Book. If it comes up at 9,000.00 then the guy did the same thing. It looks nice, but a problem I have with my T100 is rust underneath, I mean a lot of rust. My frame is actually rusted through in some spots, so be very careful with nin grand...I spent $1800.00 for mine with 250K miles. But, you won't know until you see it

I was intrigued so i ran it through KKB. The dealer retail is around $9-10K even at 200K miles, private party had it at $8-9K... Man this things hold there value. Its almost as these truck are destine to become classic collectibles. Too bad most of them are rusting away.

Bam I was looking at 2 Tundras 00 or 01 I think both of the had sunroofs when I bought my T100. Both were about $9k Sunroofs are subjective in resale value. I could care less about them due to my "hair challenged scalp" and its ability to get sun burned.
