It helps to provide info about your vehicle, like year, make, model and engine type.

That said, on my 3VZE engine, the EGR valve is high on the passenger side of the intake plenum where it lets gases in from a metal tube that comes from the exhaust manifold.

Some say you have no EGR, but I don't know for sure, without looking at the factory service manual.

If yer 5vz-fe has an EGR, it would be located off of the driver's side exhaust manifold. If you don't, you should see where it would come off of the manifold (not drilled out). Yers most likely will not have one.
