train horn :)

hey yall
i just wanted to show yall this new addition to my great truck. i got a train horn from ebay for $50. it was a "blemish" (scratches in the chrome) whoopdedoo lol. it came with the solenoid and mouting hardware. so i put a 5gal air tank in my toolbox and ran a air line to the horn. i wired a switch into the factory horn wires so i can choose between the oem horn and the big one lol. i put the switch in the dash right next to the dimmer switch for dash lights for quick switches . i put the horn under the hood. theres a big spot on the left if ur looking @ the radiator from the grille. anyway, it was pretty easy. yall should try it . it cost me like $100 total. just get a cheap tank off craigslist or somthin.

the tank in the toolbox

the hose between the bottom of the box and the bed liner. i just ran it thru the drain hole (turn ur head) lol

the hornnsssssss

the switch from the cab (tilt head)

wiring on the switch
middle- wired into power going to factory horns
outer green- wired back to factory horns
black outer- wired to horn solenoid

The first thing I did when I got my T was to change out the horns. Although I just bought regular hi & lo horns from the cheapo auto parts store. Why is it that the japs put the smallest hoprns on their smallest vehicles? The smaller the vehicle, the louder the horn should be!

You should have mounted all that bling on your roof
